My mixed media visual art draws inspiration from forms of arte popular mexicano, including retablos and nichos, to explore how placemaking functions as a form of resistance against hegemonic whiteness. My linocut prints and scratchboard serve to celebrate and preserve quotidian acts of resistance and refusals to be erased.
